Jachthaven Biesbosch is developing exciting plans for the future of the marina in Drimmelen and is keen to share its ideas with interested parties. With this in mind, Jachthaven Biesbosch invited 100 guests to the first Open Day which was held at the marina on Saturday 4th October 2014.
The day was blessed with sunshine and after a welcome at the beach club 'Puur', the group then visited many businesses located at the marina. After the tour, the group then departed on a boat trip through the Biesbosch where on board, a presentation was shown of the future plans for the marina. Whilst watching the presentation, the group enjoyed the famous 'woorstebroodje' a traditional Dutch savoury snack that had been provided by the on site grocery store, 'de Boot/Schap.
It was noticeable that many Belgian boating enthusiasts attended the open day. They were very interested in the marina and the fact that Jachthaven Biesbosch is so easily accessible from Vlaanderen. Jachthaven Biesbosch is hoping that many Belgians will decide to make the marina the home for their boat.
Due to the great success of the open day, a second Open Day will be organised.
