Hire a Boat
The best way to discover the Biesbosch is by boat. Quietly navigating the narrowest creeks, bending under low branches, you experience nature from the water's edge.
Jump onboard a rental boat and start exploring the Biesbosch National Park. You'll find various boat rentals at the Jachthaven, with boats suitable for 5-12 people, available in a variety of layouts with some even powered by eco-friendly electric motors. The most popular boat for hire is a Dutch sloop - an open day boat with a low draft making it perfect for exploring the shallow, narrow creeks.
Other boats available include open-decked fishing boats, small motor boats, cabin cruisers and Canadian Canoes. All rental companies provide full tuition and instruction before you depart the dock, as well as a detailed cruising map.
River Cruises
For a more leisurely tour of the region, you can take a river cruise that provides you with the chance to see the Biesbosch National Park up close, while relaxing in style and enjoying great food and drink onboard.
With trips throughout the year, river cruises navigate through the narrow creeks of the National Park while explaining some of the fascinating history, flora and fauna which makes the area so unique.
