Hans Horrevoets Quay: 20 years of remembering a passionate sailor
Hans Horrevoets Quay: 20 years of remembering a passionate sailor. On 18 May 2026, it will be twenty years since Hans Horrevoets lost his life during the Volvo Ocean Race. At Jachthaven Biesbosch in Drimmelen, we commemorate this man who lived for the sea. The 300-metre-long quay in our marina has borne his name since 2011 as a tribute.

Hilvarenbeek – The animals at Beekse Bergen Safari Park have been given some special new toys. Jachthaven Biesbosch has donated all its used and discarded fenders to the park so that the animals can play with them.

Blue flag with green pennant recognition for Jachthaven Biesbosch 2026
Hoorn – 7th May 2026 Dutch beaches and marinas are once again setting the standard for quality and sustainability this year. In 2026, the Blue Flag will fly at 195 locations, that is 143 marinas and 52 beaches. The award ceremony took place today in Hoorn, at the municipal marina. Together with WSV Hoorn and Grashaven Hoorn, these hosts ensured a successful Blue Flag award ceremony. This year, Jachthaven Biesbosch is hoisting the Blue Flag for the 21st time. It is also the 8th year that we have been able to hoist the Green Pennant.

Brasserie Koestering opens its doors
Article by BN DeStem: Now that Hotel Biesbosch is almost complete and Brasserie De Koestering is also opening there, the entrance to the marina in Drimmelen is really coming into its own. Hotel and restaurant guests have a beautiful view of the marina. ‘It's like a living painting.’

Yesterday, the Brabant Hospitality Award 2026/2027 was launched in DePetrus in Vught. No fewer than 222 entrepreneurs from the Brabant leisure sector are participating this year. In the coming period, they will be actively working to further enhance their hospitality and prepare for tomorrow's guests. In 2026, the participants will immediately start with concrete challenges, which will give them a chance to win the coveted title for 2026/2027.
