Yesterday, the Brabant Hospitality Award 2026/2027 was launched in DePetrus in Vught. No fewer than 222 entrepreneurs from the Brabant leisure sector are participating this year. In the coming period, they will be actively working to further enhance their hospitality and prepare for tomorrow's guests. In 2026, the participants will immediately start with concrete challenges, which will give them a chance to win the coveted title for 2026/2027.

In the picturesque marina in Drimmelen, an impressive Ferris wheel rotated for 9 days. This large structure, which could be admired until Sunday, May 26, offered visitors a breathtaking view from a height of 25 meters!
In a festive reception, Jachthaven Biesbosch welcomed members of the Royal Dutch Motorboat Club (KNMC) as part of their annual Asparagus Tour. The picturesque harbor, located in the heart of the beautiful Biesbosch, served as a perfect stopover for the fleet of enthusiastic power boaters.
This year we again hosted a social get-together for our berth holders by basin. This gave our berth holders a chance to meet new neighbors or see known neighbors again at the beginning of the season. The feedback was very positive and everyone is looking forward to the annual berth holder party in August!
The Dongemond Veterans Foundation, based in the Dongemond region, recently received a sponsored berth at Jachthaven Biesbosch. This foundation is dedicated to promoting activities and strengthening mutual contacts between veterans and their home front.

The desired 'bustling harbour heart' at Drimmelen is slowly taking shape. A real supermarket will not return to the marina for the time being. But there will be a mini-market, Hotel Biesbosch is expanding steadily and the VVV is prominently present.

The first Herengracht concert was organised in 2005. Rinus Rasenberg was the organiser and great inspiration for the event. More editions followed in the years up to and including 2014. After five years of absence, two former organisers Erik van Dijk and Els Pellikaan decided to breathe new life into the Herengracht Concert in 2019.

The Netherlands has rediscovered water sports in Corona time. And the entrepreneurs in the ports have found that too. The harbours were packed and so Jachthaven Biesbosch unexpectedly achieved the goal of full occupation this season...
Unfortunately, with Storm Ciara, our Marina Office did not get through unscathed. What an exciting day it was, but how sad it was to see the red roof lose out to the strong winds.
“When I started here almost seven years ago, the occupancy rate was around 60 percent, now we're at 96 percent. We aim for 100 percent and hope to have waiting lists in the future.” said Renate Ilmer, Marina Manager
On 12 October at 11am, the new boathouse at Jachthaven Biesbosch in Drimmelen will be opened by the Burgermeester van Drimmelen and the Unity leadership of the Zeeland-West Brabant police force.
The Hans Horrevoets Memorial Race has built a reputation as a well-known and adventurous sailing competition dedicated to the late sailor Hans Horrevoets. This year the race will be held on Sunday, 6 October 2019.

Our Summer Parties for our Berth Holders have become something of a tradition. So it was only right that in our 50th year, we gave our party a little twist - with a 1960s feel!
